We are a people-orientated business, as evident from the fact our people rarely move on.

With a core base of over 170 directly employed staff, our people understand and enjoy our working culture. We strive to make our employees feel supported and valued, and as a result, we are able to attract and retain the very best people.

The continual development and progression of staff is essential for a productive environment. We engage with team members to help achieve their career goals by creating an environment that is stimulating and collaborative, as well as providing professional training plans from the get-go.

If you’re thinking about starting a career in building services, or are an experienced building services engineer or designer, joining F P Hurley can offer a wide range of opportunities.

Apprenticeships

We know that a well-developed apprenticeship programme is the key to future success. We have always invested heavily in apprenticeships and work closely with BESA Training, as well as several colleges and universities, to deliver an outstanding apprenticeship programme. We maintain a strong focus on providing the right opportunities for our people to reach their full potential, so we've created apprenticeships which offer a combination of work-based learning and academic study. We strive to recruit the most enthusiastic and committed individuals, as evidenced by the fact that many of our apprentices have gone on to win construction industry awards.

We offer a range of apprenticeships:

  • Heating and Ventilation Installer and Craftsperson– this apprenticeship trains you to install a wide range of commercial and industrial heating and ventilation systems. Primarily based on construction sites.
  • Building Services Diploma – this apprenticeship prepares you for a career as building services engineer in specialisms such as design or estimating.
  • Building Services Engineering Degree – we are an established host company for the Network 75 programme, which is a combined work and study route to a professional engineering degree.
  • We also support employees by providing opportunities to train in other specialist areas such as welding or quantity surveying.
